How To Join

Membership Process

All members shall know the House Spiral Motto, the scope of The Gathering, and be active on at least our Discord server.
Applicants must read and agree to the Core Agreements for House Spiral Members.
Applicants must fill out the House Spiral Online Membership Application or via the paper form given directly by an existing member.
Will need to supply: Full (legal) name and contact info. Contact information is stored securely and only shared with House Spiral leadership.
Required Sponsors: All applicants must include at least 1 sponsor and no vetos (dependent on requested membership level) who has agreed to sponsor you and that vouches for behavior and contact info.

Overall character, involvement, and genuine desire to actively help improve House Spiral as a high priority shall be the final determining factor.
The House Spiral Leadership Council will approve or deny a request to join.
Applicants will be notified of membership decisions.
If accepted, a membership card will be issued. Good until the House Spiral Day (last Gathering in Oct) of the following year.

First tier of membership.
Must have attended at least 3 Gatherings in the last 3 months and/or been active online on House Spiral Discord for 3 months before consideration for membership.
Must have at least 1 sponsor who has agreed to sponsor you and who is an existing Red or Black Dragon.
Contributes to our House Spiral efforts directly when possible.
Has voting status on House Spiral Shared Subjects.
Promises to make a good faith effort remain active nearly daily online and/or come to at least 2 real-life Gatherings a month.

When you initially become a White Dragon member, you are under observation. After 3 months, we will determine whether to confirm your membership or deny it.
When you are confirmed, you will be awarded a White Dragon pin.

Second tier of membership. House Spiral family member beyond the social club. Red dragons see the house as a duty.
Must be a confirmed White Dragon for at least 6 months prior to applying for Red Dragon membership.
Must have 2 sponsors who have agreed to sponsor you and who are an existing Red or Black Dragon(s).
For new Red Dragon applications to be approved, there must be 2x as many active White Dragons in House Spiral.
Must be active on the House Spiral Discord server and/or a very regular Gathering member, far more than a White Dragon.
Must have significant familiarity with The House Spiral Shared Interest Subjects. (This is the most important aspect of a red dragon.)
Contributes at least $1 a month to House Spiral up to a goal of at least 1% of monthly income OR contributes at least 12 hours labor (yearly) for House Spiral efforts (creating content, promotion, etc.).
Has voting status on House Spiral subjects and veto power on some issues.
Red Dragons should be exemplars of House Spiral membership.
Red Dragons and above have official House Spiral runic symbols.

Black dragon logo

Black Dragons are House Spiral's Most Serious and Dedicated Members. This is a rarely achieved honor.
Must be a confirmed Red Dragon for at least 1 year prior to applying for Black Dragon membership.
Must have 1 black dragon who has agreed to sponsor you and who are existing Black Dragon(s).
For new Black Dragon applications to be approved, there must be more active Red Dragons than Black Dragons in House Spiral.
Must be active on the House Spiral Discord server and/or a very regular Gathering member, far more than a White Dragon.
Must be able to educate others on The House Spiral Shared Interest Subjects.
Contributes at least $40 a month up to a goal of at least 1% of monthly income OR contributes at least $1/mo plus at least 20 hours labor (weekly) for House Spiral tasks (creating content, promotion, etc.).
Has voting status on House Spiral subjects and full veto power.
Black Dragons should be exemplars of House Spiral membership.
Attempting to become a confirmed Black Dragon and failing is not an option. Six months after being eligible for Black Dragon status you will be approved or demoted back to Red Dragon.
